About Andamooka

Andamooka is located approx. 600 kilometres from Adelaide, near the South Australian Outback. Opal mining is Andamooka’s main industry and you’ll still find plenty of opal in town at the Opal Showroom or by private collectors. Andamooka is known for its rustic setting with the golden desert on the background, beautiful night skies and friendly warm atmosphere.

Aside from opal, there are some fascinating flora, fauna and scenic destinations.
